In this 2024, on the occasion of the Puccini celebrations for the centenary of the death of Maestro Giacomo Puccini (Lucca, 1858 - Brussels, 1924), PucciniPop, a design collection dedicated to the maestro and his innovative works, was born. The project is conceived and coordinated by Domenico Raimondi of thesignLab, a Lucca-based workshop of creatives and designers working in the design and visual field, together with entrepreneur Samuele Cosentino and designer Stefano Bellandi.

Born in Lucca, the work intends to honor Puccini's art and its worldwide cultural significance, with an explicit reference to pop art. PucciniPop consists of a series of 12 sculptures inspired by the protagonists of the immortal operas applauded in theaters all over the world. A contemporary reinterpretation intended to pay homage to the indelible imprint that the composer from Lucca left on the history of opera. Made of resin through a cold printing technique, the series offers an original interpretation of Puccini's heritage, enriched with modern features. With a variety of 8 colors and two finishes, the pieces, measuring approximately 15x11 cm and weighing 430 grams, offer a wide choice to suit personal tastes. The creators aim to spread the Maestro's art not only among fans of bel canto, but also to families, the younger generation and environments far removed from the opera tradition.

The PucciniPop collection is introduced to the public with the exhibition of the first three sculptures in different finishes and colors, featuring the following prices: 90 euros for Maestro, 110 euros for Cio Cio San, and 90 euros for Minnie. The presentation is also accompanied by a special capsule of t-shirts named Andy, a tribute to artist Andy Warhol and his pop art. Three more releases are planned during 2024, marking the year of celebrations dedicated to Puccini. The result is a project with a strong artistic, pop and iconic feel, featuring intense colors that blend design, comics and fashion.

The PucciniPop series is available on the website https://puccinipop.com, at selected boutiques in Tuscany and will be displayed in some Italian theaters in the coming weeks.
