Anextensive retrospective exhibition dedicated to Gae Aulenti will open at the Milan Triennale on May 22, 2024, and will remain open to the public until January 12, 2025. Curated by Giovanni Agosti with Nina Artioli and Nina Bassoli, and produced in collaboration with theGae Aulenti Archive, the Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) exhibition will tell the story of one of the most representative figures in contemporaryarchitecture and design through both an analytical and spectacular display, highlighting her unique way of seeing, imagining and designing reality, which influenced both Italian and international contexts in the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition includes 1:1 scale environments created using original materials preserved in the architect's Milan archive, including drawings, photographs, and maquettes.

In more than sixty years of her career, Gae Aulenti has in fact explored numerous fields, from urban design to exhibition design, from landscape architecture to interior design, from furniture design to graphic design, and even theater set design.
