Made in Italy, the Register of Cultural and Creative Enterprises of National Interest is born
With the decree implementing Article 26 of the Made in Italy Law, the Ministry of Culture launches the Register of Cultural and Creative Enterprises of National Interest, a step forward to support Italian excellence in the cultural and creative sector.

With the decree implementingArticle 26 of the Made in Italy Law, the Register of Cultural and Creative Enterprises of National Interest (CCI) has been established, a new tool to enhance Italian excellence in the cultural and creative sectors. This was announced by Undersecretary for Culture Lucia Borgonzoni, emphasizing the achievement of an important milestone for the sector.
"Full speed ahead with the plan put in place by the Ministry to support the growth of the cultural and creative enterprise sector," Borgonzoni declared. "With the implementing decree of Article 26 of the Made in Italy Law, which provides for the establishment of the register of cultural and creative enterprises of national interest, reached another important milestone."
This project is part of the government's broader plan to enhance Italian cultural and creative enterprises and strengthen the strategic role of made in Italy on the international scene. The register represents an instrument of official recognition for companies that have been able to transform culture into an engine of economic and social growth, contributing to the definition of Italian identity. With the introduction of the register, the Ministry of Culture aims to promote Italian excellence globally, strengthen the link between culture, territory and business, and support CCI in reaching new markets and opportunities.
What the decree provides
The decree establishes the procedures for maintaining and updating the register, as well as specifying the requirements and registration procedures for interested enterprises.
Cultural and creative enterprises of national interest are defined as those entities that, due to their history, prestige or strategic importance, represent excellence in the Italian cultural and productive panorama. These entities must contribute to the promotion of Made in Italy, enhancing the link with the local territory and tradition.
Companies that: have obtained the status of cultural and creative enterprise; have been operating for at least 5 years with activities that contribute to the national identity or cultural, economic and social growth of the country; enhance the reference territory through their activities; and possess a business archive, that is, documents that testify to the organization's history and activity.
Businesses that exclusively hold or use a historical trademark of national interest, which is already registered in the relevant special register, will be able to access the register without further verification.
The register will be published on the institutional website of the General Directorate of Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, which will also take care of its periodic updating. Companies interested in registration can consult details on requirements, procedures and deadlines on the official website of the General Directorate of Contemporary Creativity.
