An exhibition in Milan dedicated to Eva Marisaldi, an important contemporary artist

From December 18, 2018 to February 3, 2019, the Milan PAC reopens to the public with Eva Marisaldi's solo exhibition, 'Exceptional Transport.

On December 18, the PAC Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea reopens to the public with a solo exhibition by Eva Marisaldi, one of the most relevant artists of the generation born in the 1960s toward whom the PAC has chosen to direct one of the research lines of its annual programming: the promotion and enhancement of Italian contemporary art.

Promoted by Comune di Milano - Cultura and produced by PAC with Silvana Editoriale, the exhibition, titled Trasporto eccezionale (Exceptional Transport), is on view until February 3, 2019, is curated by Diego Sileo and adds a further stage to the artist’s research with a new reflection that starts from his early years of production and arrives up to the present day, through a wide selection of past works and the creation of new works designed specifically for the PAC spaces.

Characterized by a lyrical narrative vein, Marisaldi’s works take their cue from reality to focus on the hidden aspects of our everyday life. Photographs, actions, performances, videos, animations, and installations alternating with more traditional and artisanal techniques such as drawing and embroidery transport us to other dimensions, where anything can happen and where everything remains suspended. That evoked by the title is a hypothetical, metaphorical, exceptional transport into the worlds created by Eva Marisaldi, populated by sounds, narratives, emotions, play and poetry, references to theater, cinema and literature, but also journeys that explore with the same curiosity distant territories and complexities of human beings.
The exhibition will remain open until February 3, 2019.

In the catalog, published by Silvana Editoriale, unpublished texts by the curator, Emanuela De Cecco, Arabella Natalini and Elena Volpato. Opening hours: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Closed Mondays. For all information you can call +39 02 88446359 or visit the PAC’s official website.
