From March 18 to June 4, 2017, the Museo Correr in Venice is hosting the exhibition "From Poussin to Cézanne. Masterpieces of French Drawing from the Prat Collection."

Inaugurated yesterday, March 18, the exhibition"From Poussin to Cézanne. Masterpieces of French Drawing from the Prat Collection," which will continue until June 4, 2017.

The exhibition is hosted by the Correr Museum in Venice and features 110 works, all drawings, from one of Europe’s most important private collections of early drawings, the collection of Louis-Antoine and Véronique Prat.
As the title of the exhibition states, the collection includes works by French artists made between the 17th and 19th centuries, more precisely from Poussin to Cézanne.
Pencil, ink, and watercolor drawings that show how drawing is one of the highest expressions of an artist.



The exhibition is curated by Pierre Rosenberg and is co-produced with the Fondation Bemberg in Toulouse, where the same exhibition will be held when it concludes at the Correr Museum, with the support of Alliance Française-Venice.
