In Milan, "The Masters of Color. Art in Venice in the Nineteenth Century."


An exhibition dedicated to the Venetian school of truth is being held from March 24 to May 20, 2017 at Galleria Bottegantica in Milan.

Starting March 24 , the exhibition"The Masters of Color. Art in Venice in the 1800s."

Curated by Enzo Savoia and Stefano Bosi, the exhibition, which will end on May 20, 2017, is dedicated to the Venetian school of the true, that is, the school that developed between the1870s and 1880s and had Giacomo Favretto, Ettore Tito, Guglielmo Ciardi and Federico Zandomeneghi among its best-known exponents.

On display are forty works from important private Italian collections characterized by the use of color to represent painting en plein air.

The exhibition with free admission is accompanied by a catalog Bottegantica edition.
