When matter comes to life: on display in Mondovi the sculptures of Andrea Blasich

From Aug. 14 to Oct. 14, 2018, the Mondovi Ceramics Museum is hosting sculptures by Andrea Blasich.

Opening on August 14, 2018 at the Mondovi Museum of Ceramics is the exhibition"Anima. When matter comes to life," which showcases the works of Andrea Blasich.

Sculptures in clay, a material with which the artist manages to give soul to matter.
“My art is the most sincere and personal way I have to express myself. I convey all my emotions to my sculptures, and while modeling I try to translate into clay what I have discovered and learned from nature and the simplicity of everyday life. I usually work with oil-based clay. The beauty and speed of this material allow me to get right to what I am trying to communicate. Working on my sculptures as quickly as possible is my key, because I don’t want to lose the moment,” Blasich explains.

The artist has collaborated with major film studios (Dreamworks, Pixar, Lucas Film and Disney) over the past two decades, creating famous characters on the big screen.

The exhibition will be on view until Oct. 14, 2018, and is produced in collaboration with theÙ Cultural Association; it is part of the schedule of events of the Artistic Crafts Exhibition of the City of Mondovi.
