As of March 15, 2026, the state system Florence Academy Gallery and Bargello Museums introduces major changes with the aim of making museum offerings more integrated and easily accessible to the public. The main changes concern theintroduction of cumulative tickets andthe standardization of opening hours for all venues.
The first change is the introduction of two new types of cumulative tickets, designed to allow visits to several museums with a single admission ticket. The 38-euro ticket, valid for 72 hours, will provide access to all of the institute’s museum venues (Florence Academy Gallery, the Bargello National Museum, the Medici Chapels Museum, the Orsanmichele Complex, and the Palazzo Davanzati Museum), to offer the possibility of organizing a visit over three consecutive days. Instead, with a cumulative ticket costing 26 euros and valid for 48 hours, it will be possible to visit the Accademia Gallery in Florence and the Bargello National Museum.
The second novelty concerns the adoption of a single opening time for all venues of the museum system. Starting March 15, in fact, from Tuesday to Sunday the group’s museums will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 6:50 p.m. Exceptions are Casa Martelli and San Procolo, which will remain temporarily closed to the public due to ongoing work. The aim is to simplify the planning of visits, offering the public a coordinated and homogeneous system.
These new formulas also help compensate for theupdate of individual ticket prices that went into effect on February 1, 2026. Indeed, prices have been adjusted to current values: admission to the Accademia Gallery in Florence has risen from 16 to 20 euros; admission to the Bargello National Museum from 10 to 12 euros; the Museum of Palazzo Davanzati from 6 to 8 euros; the Medici Chapel Museum from 9 to 11 euros; and the Orsanmichele Complex from 8 to 10 euros. By contrast, the ticket price for Michelangelo’s Secret Room remains unchanged at 32 euros, for which reservations remain necessary.
In light of these changes, the new cumulative ticket allows for a more flexible planning of the visit and, in the case of the 72-hour formula, provides access to the entire museum circuit at an overall lower price than the sum of the individual admissions. The 48-hour cumulative, which includes the Accademia Gallery and the Bargello National Museum, also fits into the same logic of integrating and enhancing the cultural offer. However, the reductions and gratuities provided by current regulations remain unchanged.
