In 2022, Venaria Reale celebrates its first fifteen years of being open to the public and twenty-five years since being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These two anniversaries will be celebrated with the inauguration on June 21 of the Water Theater of the Fountain of Hercules, a large seventeenth-century architectural complex within the Gardens of the Reggia, which has been completely restored and made accessible again. From April 9 to September 25, 2022, Fra piazze e corti. Games and Shows in Piedmont between the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries, curated by Silvia Ghisotti and Andrea Merlotti; staging by Peter Bottazzi, with direction and narration by Arturo Brachetti. The exhibition, narrated through a narrative intervention by Arturo Brachetti, features rare iconographic evidence of the period, including paintings from the Savoy Residences and precious posters from the Incisa Fund of the Bishop’s Seminary Library in Asti.

A journey through the images of 18 famous Italian photographers, curated by Giangavino Pazzola; installation by Peter Bottazzi, in collaboration with Camera - Italian Center for Photography. The world of street games and outdoor shows seen through the lens of eighteen famous Italian photographers who, starting after World War II, document the transformation over time of the many ways of playing and having fun until the birth of the modern entertainment industry.

From July 22, 2022 to January 15, 2023, Play. Videogames, Art and Beyond, curated by Guido Curto and Fabio Viola; installation Officina delle Idee, Turin. The first major exhibition on the art of video games: masterpieces by celebrated artists enter into dialogue with new digital canvases. How video games change aesthetics, cultures, languages and 21st century society itself.
