Recovery and enhancement interventions spread throughout Italy and new acquisitions to the state heritage have been approved: thus amounting to 200 million euros are the investments for the thirty-eight new projects and three new acquisitions contained in the Strategic Plan Major Cultural Heritage Projects launched by Culture Minister Dario Franceschini and approved by the Unified State-Regions Conference. “Thirty-eight strategic interventions, spread throughout Italy, and three new acquisitions that confirm the centrality of culture in the government’s economic policy action,” said Franceschini, who pointed out that “the recovery and enhancement of cultural heritage is one of the fundamental axes on which the country’s economic and social growth is based.”

The 199,076,000 euros are intended to finance 186,285,510 euros worth of recovery and enhancement works in sixteen Italian regions and new acquisitions to the state heritage of real estate worth 12,790,490 euros.
