“Sfera Ebbasta is the first artist in the world to have filmed a music video in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s*The Last Supper*: an unprecedented image, a dialogue rooted in contemporary culture within a place steeped in over five centuries of history. A work that for centuries has invited viewers to pause and reflect, where distance becomes a tool for introspection: stepping away from daily life, escaping the noise, and finding a space to ask oneself what remains, what changes, and the direction one wishes to take,” the organizers emphasized.
“I think it’s commendable that a star, so beloved by young audiences, would choose such an important and almost sacred masterpiece for an intimate reflection on her own life—and that she would also decide to support projects aimed at young people in the suburbs. One of our goals is to make cultural heritage accessible to everyone, especially to audiences who might feel the farthest removed from art history. It is our duty to make beauty accessible,” stated Angelo Crespi, director of the Grande Brera.
The music video for “Lontano” was released today and precedes the release of *PUROSANGUE*, scheduled for December 11, 2026. The lead-up to the album’s release will also be accompanied by a series of events organized in collaboration with the Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano and dedicated to the theme of social inclusion.
The decision to film the video in the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci has sparked controversy from the CGIL. The union called the project a mistake, arguing that the initiative does not promote cultural heritage but, on the contrary, demeans cultural assets.
