Milan's Salone del Mobile also pays homage to Leonardo da Vinci. With two immersive installations

On the occasion of its 58th edition, the Salone del Mobile di Milano reconfirms its connection with the city, evoking its most brilliant and eclectic “adopted son,” Leonardo da Vinci (Vinci, 1452 - Amboise, 1519), who, as we know, stayed in Milan for a long time. The celebration for the 500th anniversary of the artist’s passing passes through two major installations: in fact, from April 6 to 14, in the heart of Milan, inside the Conca dell’Incoronata, the Fair will offer the city AQUA. The Vision of Leonardo, while at the Fair, in Hall 24, DE-SIGNO. Italian design culture before and after Leonardo.

DE-SIGNO will be an immersive installation that will combine the languages of cinema and theatrical scenography. Inside, in fact, it will host a show of images and music in which Leonardo’s design skills and the industriousness of Renaissance workshops and workshops will be recounted in relation to the know-how and design of contemporary design companies: all in the Italian sign of the culture of beauty. Aqua will also be an immersive installation: an architectural graft will be created in the Conca in the form of a large body of water, at the end of which a large LED screen will project a changing skyline of Milan depending on the time of day. Below this structure, just inside the canal, a Wunderkammer will be created in which visitors will be able to experience the energy and form of water in a total environment that will envelop them in image and sound thanks to the use of the most advanced technologies.

The event can be visited from April 09 to 14, from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
