The Ca’ Pesaro Gallery of Modern Art in Venice will host Jenny Saville at Ca’ Pesaro from March 28 to November 22, 2026, the first major Venetian exhibition dedicated to the artist. The exhibition aims to recount the path of one of the most significant painters on the contemporary scene, tracing her evolution from her beginnings in the 1990s to her most recent production.
Jenny Saville at Ca’ Pesaro represents the artist’s first major exhibition occasion in Venice. It will bring together about thirty paintings made from the 1990s to the present and offer an articulate reconstruction of the development of her painting practice, which is deeply linked to the historical tradition of painting. In the spaces of Ca’ Pesaro, Saville’s monumental canvases will enter into dialogue with the great Venetian masters of the past, creating a confrontation between contemporary languages and the city’s artistic heritage. The last room of the exhibition will feature never-before-seen works made specifically in relation to Venice. The exhibition event will be held in conjunction with the 61st Venice Biennale and is supported by Gagosian.
