CAMERA in Turin presents an exhibition of photographs from the Bertero Collection, from Capa to Ghirri, from Feb. 20 to May 10, 2020.

From February 20 to May 10, 2020 CAMERA - Italian Center for Photography will host the exhibition Memory and Passion. From Capa to Ghirri. Masterpieces from the Bertero Collection, curated by Walter Guadagnini and with the collaboration of Barbara Bergaglio and Monica Poggi.

The most significant photographs from the Bertero Collection, a unique collection in Italy for its originality and quality, will be on display.

The intent of the exhibition will be to recount the past and the roots of the present through photography, following its Italian and international evolution from the 1930s to the end of the 20th century.
In addition, Memoria e Passione is proposed as a tribute to the story of a collector, Guido Bertero, who, from the late 1990s until today, has collected more than two thousand prints. Of these, more than three hundred have been chosen for the exhibition: these are photographs taken by about fifty different artists, including Bruno Barbey, Gabriele Basilico, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Robert Capa, Lisetta Carmi, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Mario Cattaneo, Carla Cerati, Mario Cresci, Mario De Biasi, Mario Dondero, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Franco Fontana, Luigi Ghirri, Mario Giacomelli, Jan Groover, Mimmo Jodice, William Klein, Herbert List, Duane Michals, Ugo Mulas, Ruth Orkin, Federico Patellani, Ferdinando Scianna, Franco Vimercati and Michele Zaza.
