The Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi presents the exhibition "Reaching for the Stars": showcasing works by the great artists of international contemporary art to celebrate 30 years of the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection. It will feature works by leading international contemporary artists, including Maurizio Cattelan, Sarah Lucas, Damien Hirst, Lara Favaretto, Cindy Sherman, William Kentridge, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Josh Kline, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, and Rudolf Stingel, thus celebrating in Florence the 30th anniversary of the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection, one of Italy’s most famous and prestigious collections of contemporary art.

Promoted and organized by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, the exhibition aims to explore the main artistic researches of the last four decades through works that will be visible to the public in all the spaces of Palazzo Strozzi, from the Piano Nobile to the Strozzina, with a special new installation for the Renaissance courtyard. Between painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and performance, the project aims to enhance the dialogue between Palazzo Strozzi and contemporary art, offering visitors a path to discover the great protagonists of international art in recent years along with a look at the younger generations.
