What remains of our time on earth? This is the question that serves as the starting point for *Reliquie*, a solo exhibition by Erk14—an artist born in 1986 who lives and works in Naples—scheduled to take place at the Diocesan Museum of Caserta from October 31 to November 15, 2026. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m. The exhibition is curated by Fabio Maietta and is part of *Hearth: Art Starts Here*, a project conceived by the curator himself.

The exhibition presents a selection of works in which flowers, animals, everyday objects, and visual fragments of daily life become tools for reflection on memory. Through overlays, accumulations, and unexpected associations, Erk14 strips the depicted elements of their original function, transforming them into testimonies capable of preserving the gestures, emotions, fragility, desires, and habits of the present.

In these works, the images retain their own identity but become part of a broader narrative, devoid of a linear sequence or a single, unambiguous interpretation. As in the processes of memory, the various elements intersect and overlap, forming a constantly expanding visual archive in which the audience can recognize fragments of their own experience.

The concept of the relic—traditionally linked to the preservation of memory and the spiritual dimension—is thus reinterpreted in a contemporary light. The objects are not presented for their intrinsic value, but for what they retain and bear witness to. The choice of the Diocesan Museum lends the project a specific dimension: the works establish a dialogue with a place where memory, spirituality, and cultural layers coexist, suggesting that even the most ordinary objects can preserve a sense of presence and meaning over time.

With *Reliquie*, *Hearth: Art Starts Here* continues its exploration of the relationship between artists, places, and communities through opportunities for dialogue and participation. The exhibition will be open on weekends through Sunday, November 15, 2026.
