Genoa, city council seeks scientific popularizers of cultural heritage

In Genoa, the City of Genoa has published a call for applications for scientific popularizers of cultural heritage and in particular of the UNESCO site Genoa. The popularizers will have to give availability to carry out the assignment during all the days of the events and for the entire scheduled hours, and participate in the training moments organized from time to time close to the events and which are mandatory as they are aimed at providing not only the technical and organizational information necessary for the success of the events, but also additional specific skills on the city’s cultural heritage. The disseminators are also required to self-study the entrusted site. (Informational materials about the Palace could be provided, but these must necessarily be accompanied by individual research). Again, disseminators will have to cooperate with the team of disseminators assigned to the same assigned site, with whom they will share study materials and schedule and organize rotating visits on the day. The call for applications expires on December 12, 2022. Eligible for selection are those who are 18 years of age or older and under 40 years of age as of the call deadline. Applicants will be evaluated by a special committee that will draw up a ranking list based on resumes and a cognitive interview (to gain access to which it will be necessary to have reached at least 15/30 in the evaluation of resumes). The interview will focus on knowledge of the city’s cultural heritage and UNESCO site, organizational skills and problem solving, communication skills and aptitude for scientific dissemination, written and/or spoken knowledge of English and any other foreign languages.
