They reopen and will all be free for a month at major museums in the Marche region. Here are which ones

The five provincial capitals of the Marche region(Ancona, Ascoli Piceno, Fermo, Macerata and Pesaro) are preparing to reopen their main museums on May 30, but that’s not all: in fact, the capital cities have decided that visits to museums will be free for the entire month of June. This is announced by Sistema Museo, one of the companies that manage services in the museums affected by this measure (others include Pulchra and Integra - Gestione Integrata Sistemi per la Cultura, which take care of the museums in Ascoli Piceno). Obviously, all medical and health precautions will be taken to ensure maximum safety of staff and visitors in compliance with ministerial guidelines.

“It will be an opportunity,” Sistema Museo says in a note, “to discover or rediscover the heritage of the five cities in the Marche region through a tour that touches some extraordinary sites.”

Here are which museums are reopening. In the regional capital, Ancona, doors open at the Pinacoteca Comunale “Francesco Podesti,” the Mole Vanvitelliana, the Museo Tattile Omero and Palazzo Camerata. In Pesaro, the Museo Nazionale Rossini, Palazzo Mosca - Musei Civici, Casa Rossini and the Pescheria Visual Arts Center reopen. In Ascoli Piceno, the Pinacoteca Civica, the Museo dell’Alto Medioevo “Forte Malatesta,” the Galleria d’Arte Contemporanea "Osvaldo Licini," the Museo dell’Arte Ceramica, and the Papal Paper Mill are preparing to welcome back the public. In Macerata, the Civic Museums of Palazzo Buonaccorsi, the Sferisterio Arena, the Helvia Recina Archaeological Area, and the Villa Ficana Ecomuseum reopen. Finally, in Fermo again open Palazzo dei Priori and Sala del Mappamondo, Roman Cisterns, Teatro dell’Aquila, Archaeological Museum of Torre di Palme.
