Marianna Bressan has been appointed as the new pro tempore delegated director of the Miramare Castle Historical Museum and Park, a structure belonging to the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
She succeeds Andreina Contessa, who ended her tenure after eight years at the helm of the museum institution.
With a specialization and doctorate in classical archaeology from the University of Padua, Marianna Bressan has led the National Archaeological Museums of Venice and the Lagoon since 2024. This is an institution with special autonomy that brings together under one direction the National Archaeological Museum of Venice, the Museum of Palazzo Grimani, the museum complex and archaeological area of Altino, and the National Archaeological Museum of Lazzaretto Vecchio.
