MiBACT, another 350 million to fairs and conferences canceled or postponed due to Covid

Signed decree for an additional 350 million for fairs and congresses canceled, cancelled or postponed due to the health emergency.

MiBACT Minister Dario Franceschini signed the decree increasing by 350 million euros the resources already allocated last Aug. 3 for the trade fair and congress sector.

“An additional 350 million euros for fairs and congresses cancelled, cancelled or postponed due to the health emergency and to support operators in the sector. Additional help to one of the engines of the national economy, capable of promoting the excellence of Made in Italy and the activity of the rich fabric of small and medium-sized Italian companies,” a note reads.

Thanks to the additional allocation established by the Ristori-quater Decree, the total amount of funds earmarked to support the trade fair and congress sector reaches 370 million.

The new resources are divided into the following portions: €130 million to trade fair and congress organizers; €130 million to congress organizers; and €90 million to providers of logistics, transportation and set-up services that have a share of more than 50 percent of their turnover deriving from activities concerning trade fairs and congresses.
