Modena, BPER project to help school purchase a work by Fabrizio Dusi

As part of the school orientation project proposed by La Galleria BPER Banca, students from the San Carlo Muratori Institute in Modena, Italy, choose to purchase a work by Fabrizio Dusi that will adorn a space in the school.

The Istituto Muratori-San Carlo of Modena, thanks to the PCTO (Percorsi per le Competenze trasversali e per l’Orientamento) pathway proposed by La Galleria BPER Banca, participates in the project A scuola d’Impresa. Italy in our museums and business archives, promoted by Museimpresa, Associazione Italiana Archivi e Musei d’Impresa of which La Galleria BPER has been a member since 2018, together with LIUC Heritage Hub and the Archives of Industrial Cinema and Business Communication. The project of La Galleria BPER Banca, named crowdfund-art, involves about fifty boys and girls from classes 4A and 4DL (the Institute’s Classical and Linguistic address) and has as its ultimate goal the purchase of a work of art by contemporary artist Fabrizio Dusi that will go to beautify a space in the school. The students selected the work and defined the themes: the fight against violence and the importance of memory and communication. These themes aim to raise awareness among both students and teachers, encouraging deep reflection and debate.

The objective of the PCTO is to disseminate a basic knowledge of the history of Italian business and to develop a training project, giving students the opportunity to acquire a set of skills useful for orienting themselves in their studies and in choosing their future profession, alternating hours of study with hours of training. Students and female students will also have to carry out a fundraising campaign on Produzioni dal Basso in addition to receiving support from the Associazione Amici del Muratori and La Galleria BPER, which enhances and promotes the cultural heritage of the banking institution through exhibitions, initiatives and projects. The fundraising campaign will run from February 15 to April 15, 2024. The BPER Bank Gallery is a corporate cultural institution that enhances and protects the bank’s artistic and archival heritage. BPER Bank promotes a widespread culture and strives to make its corporate collection accessible, close to local communities and always growing. With an eye on social responsibility, the bank promotes cultural heritage by stimulating discussions on relevant issues and engaging new generations.

“For La Galleria, culture is a tool for growth and connection within communities, and its enhancement and dissemination contributes to the development of a more equitable, sustainable and conscious future. The BPER Gallery contributes to the mission of social sustainability by bringing to light not only the paintings but also the issues behind them. This is why the younger generation is one of the main audiences we target with ad hoc didactic and educational projects, and this is an important example. We want to be able to be an activator of culture, to ignite a spark in those who come into contact with our reality and our initiatives,” explained Sabrina Bianchi, Head of Brand & Marketing Communication and Cultural Heritage at BPER Bank.
