Novecento Italiano at Pinacoteca di Brera: studies and curiosities in evening openings

The Pinacoteca di Brera is offering from November 22, 2018 a series of evening openings dedicated to studies, curiosities and restorations on 20th-century works in Italy.

The Pinacoteca di Brera offers evening openings on the occasion of the"Novecento Italiano" initiative dedicated to the artistic, cultural and social expressions of the 20th century in Italy. During the Novecento Evenings, six encounters will be organized between stories, studies and curiosities about the twentieth-century collections from November 22, 2018 until May 2019.

Brera Art Gallery director James Bradburne and Marina Gargiulo, conservator of the collections, will participate in the event.
Recent restorations of a series of Giorgio Morandi ’s works will be analyzed, revealing the artist’s execution techniques: the restorations focused on Nature Morte and Fiori made between 1916 and 1920.

After the presentation, the public will be able to participate in a guided tour"Collections Inside."
