European Night of Museums returns on Saturday, May 18: special evening openings for €1

The European Night of Museums is back, the initiative promoted by the French Ministry of Culture and sponsored byUNESCO, the Council of Europe and ICOM, which takes place simultaneously throughout Europe with the aim of promoting awareness of national and European cultural heritage.

The Italian Ministry of Culture is also participating in the event, which this year will be held on Saturday, May 18, reaching its 20th edition. On the occasion of this initiative, state museums and places of culture will be open in the evening hours at the symbolic cost of 1 euro (except for those free of charge provided by law).

The extraordinary openings will be accompanied by a series of events and initiatives organized in collaboration with organizations and associations, with the aim of promoting the activities of cultural institutions and spreading awareness of cultural heritage.
