Reggia Express, the historic train to the Royal Palace of Caserta, is back

From Saturday, May 6, the Reggia Express train is back. Reduced admission tickets to the Reggia for travelers on the historic train.

From Saturday, May 6, the Reggia Express returns to travel on a historic train to the Royal Palace of Caserta and enjoy a visit to the Vanvitellian Complex with a special price ticket. The initiative is promoted by ACaMIR in collaboration with the FS Foundation.

On board a vintage convoy made up of Centoporte and Corbellini carriages from the 1930s and 1950s, respectively, which will depart at 10:10 a.m. from Naples Central Station, it will be possible to immerse oneself in a bygone era, recovering slow time as a mode of travel. From Naples Central in this journey back through the years, one will arrive at Caserta train station, right in front of the majestic facade of the Royal Palace of Caserta.

The museum has earmarked a reduced fare ticket, “Reggia Express,” for travelers on the historic train. Return ticket holders (Naples/Caserta) will be able to take advantage of a discounted ticket, at a cost of 10 euros (increased by one euro for online purchase), to visit the Vanvitellian Complex (Royal Apartments, Royal Park and English Garden). Museum admission tickets are on sale on the TicketOne platform and at the Reggia di Caserta ticket office in Piazza Carlo di Borbone. Purchased tickets are not changeable or refundable, nor can they be used on another date.

Tickets for the Reggia Express train, on the other hand, are on sale at ticket offices and station self-service, authorized travel agencies and on trenitalia.com.
