At the Museum of Rome in Trastevere the first major exhibition dedicated to Rino Gaetano

From February 16 to April 28, 2024, the Museo di Roma in Trastevere pays homage to Rino Gaetano with the first major exhibition dedicated to him. Curated by Alessandro Nicosia and Alessandro Gaetano, and promoted by Roma Capitale, Assessorato alla Cultura, Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali, the exhibition is organized and produced by C.O.R. Creare Organizzare Realizzare, with the organizational support of Zètema Progetto Cultura; under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the media partner of Rai, which preserves most of the footage about the singer-songwriter; and with the collaboration of Universal Music Publishing Group.

It will be an unprecedented exhibition, born from the research of materials, many of which will be on display for the first time, documenting his entire artistic journey and enriched by precious rarities, granted for the occasion by Anna Gaetano, Rino’s sister: documents, photos, artistic memorabilia, the record collection, videos, musical instruments, objects, stage clothes such as the bathrobe worn during Festivalbar at the Arena di Verona and the leather jacket used in Sanremo, posters, the collection of hats will be on display.

During the event it will be possible to attend live performances by Alessandro Gaetano who will perform some of his uncle’s songs.

The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog published by Gangemi that includes history, images and also a long list of testimonials aimed at providing insight into an innovative, passionate author with a strong civil commitment who marked an era in Italian music.
