Coming to the Chiostro del Bramante Enjoy, art meets entertainment

Kicking off Sept. 23 at the Chiostro del Bramante is the exhibition 'Enyoy. Art meets fun'. #enjoychiostro

From September 23, 2017 to February 25, 2018, the Chiostro del Bramante will host"Enjoy. Art Meets Fun": an exhibition that will display works created by famous artists, including Tinguely, Calder, Fogliati, Erlich, Creed, Neto, Collishaw, Ourlser, Wurm, TeamLab, Hans op De Beeck, De Dominicis, Gander, Lin, and Studio 65, designed and created for the environments of the Chiostro.

Enjoy ’s common thread is fun, in the sense of taking one elsewhere, of leading the visitor to lose himself in art in a playful and participatory way.

One will walk among Alexander Calder’s light sculptures, Leandro Erlich’s labyrinth of mirrors, Martin Creed’s playful-conceptual installations, Tony Oursler’s prying and disturbing eyes and Erwin Wurm’s deformed bodies. And again, among the artists on display: Jean Tinguely, Hans op de Beeck, Gino De Dominicis, Piero Fogliati and other protagonists of twentieth-century art. Enjoy also wants to involve its visitors: in fact, anyone can tell about the exhibition using the hashtag #enjoychiostro on social media.

The exhibition is curated by Danilo Eccher, who says, “The dimension of pleasure, play, fun, and excess have always been central components of Art; Art sinks into pain but feeds on pleasures and is always a dance of contrasts. Illusion is a transparency that deforms reality, a subtle appearance where anything is possible, suggesting now the doubt of enigma, now the smile of surprise.”
