Jennifer Guidi's first solo exhibition opens today at Villa Croce in Genoa

Villa Croce in Genoa will host the first solo exhibition of American artist Jennifer Guidi from July 1 to September 24, 2017.

Today at 6 p.m. the first solo exhibition of American artist Jennifer Guidi will open from July 1 to Sept. 24, 2017 at Villa Croce, Genoa.

Visible Light/Visible Light intends to investigate the concept of color and the lasting effects it generates on the body and mind, as well as light, by creating compositions similar to oriental mandalas.

The artist used rainbow tones for the exhibited works and created them by distributing over the entire canvas an initial layer of sand and acrylic paint; on the still wet surface she carved small cavities radiating from a central point, creating through a play of light and shadow the design of a mandala.
Jennifer Guidi blends the rhythmicity of these small cavities with the delicacy of a gesture related to embroidery or weaving.

The catalog is published by Mousse Publishing.
