From July 2 to Sept. 14, 2025, Palazzo Reale in Milan presents Remo Salvadori, a diffuse exhibition project dedicated to the Tuscan artist that unfolds as a story in several chapters, involving Palazzo Reale, Museo del Novecento and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte. From July 2, site-specific works will be installed in the Sala delle Cariatidi and the Museo del Novecento, in anticipation of the exhibition that will open at Palazzo Reale on July 16.

Remo Salvadori is the largest solo exhibition dedicated to one of the most significant artists on the Italian contemporary scene. The project is articulated in a diffuse exhibition itinerary designed to accompany the public through the poetics of Remo Salvadori (Cerreto Guidi, Florence, 1947) and is developed as a tale in several chapters that crosses time and space, involving three venues of great historical and symbolic value: the Royal Palace, Museo del Novecento and the Church of San Gottardo in Corte (part of the visiting itinerary of the Museum of the Duomo of Milan).

From Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in anticipation of the exhibition, Salvadori’s works will be installed in the Sala del Piccolo Lucernario and the Sala delle Cariatidi of the Royal Palace. On the same date, the Museo del Novecento will present the site-specific work Alveare, 1996 (2025), which will become part of the museum’s permanent collection. From Tuesday, July 16, the Remo Salvadori exhibition will open to the public, which will take place on the second floor of the Royal Palace and will remain open until September 14. The installation, with free admission, alternates thematic nuclei and in-depth studies of individual works, emphasizing their aesthetic, emotional and energetic force.

The exhibition path distances itself from the traditional concept of a monographic and chronological review because it was conceived by the artist and the curators in such a way that each element at play is contaminated by the work, the visitor’s presence and the space that welcomes it. Salvadori’s research is based on a constant reflection on matter and the energy that runs through it, in an approach that integrates science, philosophy and spirituality.

A further chapter opens with the artist’s intended intervention at the Church of San Gottardo in Corte, part of the Duomo Museum’s visitor route: from July 19 to August 31, 2025, the work 10 arrows in the colors of minerals, 1969-1970 resonates in dialogue with the sacred architecture, offering a contemplative experience outside the museum space, thanks to the hospitality of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano.

The entire project brings together a body of more than 50 emblematic works created by the artist between 1969 and the present.
