Reading: Steve McCurry's major exhibition in Bari dedicated to reading

Through Aug. 25, Bari's Margherita Theater is hosting 'read,' Steve McCurry's major exhibition dedicated to reading, featuring some 70 photographs.

On view until Aug. 25 at the Margherita Theater in Bari is the exhibition Steve McCurry. Reading, which brings together shots by one of the most internationally celebrated photographers for his ability to interpret time and current society.

The exhibition, curated by Biba Giacchetti with set designs by Peter Bottazzi, presents about 70 images celebrating the timeless act of reading through the lens of one of the world’s most beloved photographers. A tribute to the beauty and seduction of reading brings together a collection of photographs taken by Steve McCurry in his nearly four decades of travel.

The exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Bari, the Apulia Region and the Metropolitan City and organized by Civita Exhibitions and Museums in collaboration with Sudest 57, is part of the schedule of the major event Lungomare di Libri: the zero edition of an open-air bookstore that from June 25 to 27, 2021 brings the book to the center of the old city, following the Wall, from Fortino Sant’Antonio to Teatro Margherita.
