From July 13, 2022 to January 29, 2023, the Capitoline Museums will host the exhibition Domitian Emperor. Hate and Love.

The exhibition, curated in Rome by the Superintendency, aims to offer the public an opportunity to learn about an emperor who is often overlooked, but who played a fundamental role in building Rome and its empire as we still perceive them today.

Through selected works, the exhibition aims to narrate the life of the emperor and his family, as well as those of the court that surrounded him and his subjects, through the words of ancient authors, architectural monuments, art of the period and everyday objects; the Exhibition includes numerous international loans from the most important museums from around the world.
