Russian avant-garde on display at MAN in Nuoro.


More than 100 works will be on display at MAN in Nuoro to tell the story of the Russian avant-garde through pairs of artists.

The MAN Museum in Nuoro will host from June 1 to October 1, 2017 the exhibition "Love and Revolution. Couples of the Russian Avant-Garde."

Couples of artists who will give insight into the events of theRussian avant-garde and the close connection between art and life that these couples experienced: Natalya Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov, Varvara Stepanova and Alexander Rodchenko, Lyubov Popova and Alexander Vesnin.

On display are more than one hundred works including paintings, photographs, collages, advertising and political propaganda posters.

The exhibition is curated by Heike Eipeldauer and Lorenzo Giusti and is organized in collaboration with the Moscow State Tretyakov Gallery and the State Schusev Museum of Architecture.
The catalog is published by Silvana Editoriale.
