Spencer Tunick's nudes at Palermo's Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa

Palermo's Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa is hosting until June 2, 2018 the anthological exhibition of American photographer Spencer Tunick: Nudes.

Palermo ’s Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa hosts the anthological exhibition of American photographer Spencer Tunick, which can be visited by the public until June 2, 2018.

"Nudes," the title of the exhibition, anticipates the characteristic of the shots on display: hundreds and thousands of nudes immersed in a landscape for the purpose of making one equal to the others through the beauty of bodies without veils.

The shots were taken all over the world, from Shanghai to Paris, Australia to Brooklyn, and will appear to visitors printed on fourteen large-format canvases and another 54 smaller-format images.

For many years the photographer has had volunteers participating in his photographs who respond to his appeals; only in some cases are individual nudes or in small groups in unusual situations depicted.
Also featured in the exhibition are videos that tell the behind-the-scenes story of the shots.

The anthological exhibition is curated by Gerald Matt and is sponsored by the Cultural Department of the City of Palermo, Gam-Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Palermo.

Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
