Replicas from Egypt at the Palazzo dei Pap i is the title of the exhibition that will be held, precisely, at the Palazzo dei Papi in Viterbo from July 1 to October 28, 2018. There will also be a copy of his famous gold death mask with lapis lazuli and glass paste, the sarcophagus and chariot of the very young pharaoh. Also finding space will be marble replicas of the eight sphinxes that line the triumphal entrance avenue to the Great Temple of Karnak in Luxor. To top it off, there will also be the hood with the canopic jars, the famous Pharaonic “trunk,” the great naos and the collection of royal jewelry.

The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Antiquities of Egypt and the Italian Charitable Society S.I.B. Fondazione Benedetti, of philanthropist Eugenio Benedetti, promoter, together with the Caffeina Foundation. Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ticket price: €7, for Viterbo residents €5.
