The Royal Palace of Caserta has published the call for proposals for the Il Giardino della Camelia project, a bistro dedicated to wellness that will be created inside the Royal Park thanks to public-private collaboration.
The initiative is part of the broader Green Museum enhancement path launched by the Ministry of Culture Institute starting in 2022, through the special public-private partnership model (pursuant to Art. 151 of Legislative Decree 50/2016 and Legislative Decree 36 of March 31, 2023). The program is named SEMI - Enterprise Development and Wonder and has already produced concrete results such as “The Greenhouses of Graefer” and the store set up in the Former Guardhouse of Hercules, spaces linked to Bourbon history now returned to the community and reintegrated into the productive function of the Royal Palace of Caserta.
“The Camellia Garden” will rise precisely in a part of the former guardhouse of Hercules, originally used for the surveillance of the royal gardens. The intervention involves the creation of a multifunctional place that stimulates the senses: a space dedicated to the culture of wellness, with green food proposals, a herbal tea shop, aromatic beverage tastings and themed cultural events. A health bistro, inspired by the principles of sustainability, harmony and nourishment, in line with the goals outlined in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The public notice is aimed at companies with proven experience in the relevant sector.
