After centuries, the fountains of the Nymphaeum of Villa Giulia in Rome are finally gushing again. The complex designed by Bartolomeo Ammannati, one of the most extraordinary masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance, has regained its original function as a “water theater,” thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Culture.

Meanwhile, at Villa Poniatowski, the museum’s second location, work continues on the removal of architectural barriers and the creation of an accessible garden, while the area of the former Riganti Convents, the subject of a major 7-million-euro project financed under thepart of the Strategic Plan “Major Cultural Heritage Projects” and strongly supported by Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli, is preparing to be transformed into a new cultural center with spaces dedicated to exhibitions, conferences and public activities.
