A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Culture and the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation to promote Italian culture on the occasion of the 2025 edition of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, one of the most prestigious tennis events in the world, running until May 18 at the Foro Italico in Rome.
Thanks to this initiative, spectators holding a ticket to watch the matches will be able to gain free access to several state museums in the capital on Saturday, May 10, Sunday, May 11, Friday, May 16, Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, simply by showing their entrance ticket.
Signing the agreement, for the Ministry of Culture, was Alfonsina Russo, head of the Department for the Enhancement of Cultural Heritage, while for the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, President Angelo Binaghi spoke. The collaboration was established with the aim of strengthening the link between sports and culture.
The Foro Italico will host additional initiatives to promote and communicate cultural heritage. In the Tournament Village, in fact, some works from the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia will be exhibited as ambassadors of the founding role of sport and values.
