To have involved both important economic realities and a significant part of our population that wanted to make a contribution, be there and participate. The Art Bonus was a tool to ask everyone to reappropriate the city’s history, neighborhoods and also a memory that is important to face the many challenges that await all of us.”

The disbursements received totally covered the cost for the extraordinary maintenance and restoration of the Fountain, amounting to 18,000 euros. This project received 2,314 votes on the www.concorsoartbonus.it platform thanks to a communication campaign carried out by the City of Perugia entitled #FannepArte. The Fonte di San Francesco is named after the patron saint of Italy who is said to have stopped at the spring in 1202 to quench his thirst and wash his wounds before being taken in chains to the prison in Perugia after the Battle of Collestrada.
