More than 9,000 Lego bricks recreate the Colosseum. It is the largest set ever made

The largest Lego set ever made was unveiled: the Colosseum with more than 9,000 bricks.

From the end of November (the expected date is November 27) everyone will be able to have the Colosseum home: in fact, the first Colosseum made entirely of Lego bricks has just been unveiled and it is the largest set ever made.

The LEGO 10276 Colosseum set consists of 9036 bricks to build Rome’s most famous monument in its entire current architecture. Designer Rok Zgalin Kobe decided to make a reproduction of the Colosseum as faithful to reality as possible and with a record number of bricks (the well-known company had never before proposed such a high number of pieces for a construction).

When finished, the Lego Colosseum reaches 27 centimeters in height, 52 centimeters in width and 59 centimeters in depth.

On Lego’s official website, the product is described as “an epic reproduction that captures every architectural detail of the original amphitheater, from the columns on the facade of the outer wall to the vast and mysterious structure beneath the entire arena.” It includes architectural details such as surviving arches, reproduces original features such as travertine paving stones and olive trees, recreates the hypogeum, and the 360-degree design and oval base allow for display from any angle.
