Filming for the feature film"Last Words" is underway among the temples of Paestum. Director is Jonathan Nossiter and actors include Charlotte Rampling, Nick Nolte, Stellan Skarsgard and Alba Rohrwacher.

The film is based on a novel by Santiago Amigorena and is set in theyear 2086, where in a post-apocalyptic scenario the last humans take refuge near ancient temples to return to the beauty of a world now destroyed by plastic, pollution, wars and other catastrophes.

Scenes set in Paestum will be shot in the coming weeks, through Dec. 4, and the film, produced by Stemal Entertainment and Rai Cinema, will be released in 2019.

The director, actors and artisans employed in the shoot say they are moved by the unique opportunity to be able to film in Paestum, a unique site in the world, where the testimony of classical culture as opposed to human barbarism is felt alive.
