Street art, Mondolfo's historic center becomes a gallery without a ceiling

In the Marche region, the historic center of Mondolfo has been transformed into a gallery without a ceiling, with photographs, street art and piano staircases.

The historic center of Mondolfo, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino, has been transformed into a “gallery without a ceiling” thanks to a permanent urban art project that will be developed throughout the town over the years, in collaboration with the municipal administration.

Some places in Mondolfo will host site-specific and permanent installations, such as the shots of the master of international photography Mario Giacomelli printed in large size: a path of the historical and social memories of the city.

In addition to Giacomelli’s images, Mondolfo Galleria Senza Soffitto has created a thematic path with street art works in public spaces, involving Italian and international artists. These include Loreprod, Andrea Sata, Mindshapes, Matteo Pignataro, Francesco Diotallevi, Yuru Kolesnikow, Simone Travaglini, and Enrico Ferrari.

The permanent urban art project is presented by Synesthesia Festival 2020, now in its third edition, under the artistic direction of Filippo Sorcinelli and curated by thePAM - Pro Arte Mondolfo Association.
