On Saturday, July 6, Pietrasanta will experience Collectors night, a journey through the city’s alleys among contemporary artworks included in solo and group exhibitions opened by nine renowned art galleries. Realized with the patronage of the City of Pietrasanta, the coordination of Susanna Orlando and the collaboration of nine Pietrasanta galleries, some of which are members of Angamc (National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries), as well as the support of the merchants of the Botteghe di Pietrasanta and Fonteviva.
Galleria Accesso on Via del Marzocco, under the direction of Brad Bruebaker, presents Kelly Robert with never-before-seen marble sculptures, while Deodato Arte, on Via Garibaldi, specializing in Pop and Street art, opens with Richard Orlinski, a prestigious exponent of both. On the same street and in Piazzetta Giordano Bruno, MARCOROSSI Artecontemporanea, a Milanese gallery among the first to open a branch in Pietrasanta, presents artist Shafik with the exhibition SAHARA. On Via Garibaldi, Galleria Susanna Orlando is inaugurating a double solo show by Pietro Bologna and Pino Deodato, Correspondences, sculpture and photography by two artist friends, and, in the Via Stagi location, is offering an exhibition dedicated to sculptor Girolamo Ciulla. Barbara Paci in Piazza Duomo is presenting a group show with works by Fernando Botero, Javier Marin, Massimiliano Pelletti, Andrea Collesano, and Janice Mehlman. Just outside the center, The Project Space gallery offers The space in between, featuring Brice Esso, Rachel Hovnanian and Stefano Russo. Also on Via Garibaldi, Annalisa Bugliani Arte presents Banda Pietrasantina, an ensemble of artists curated by Alessandro Romanini and Annalisa Bugliani, and Galleria Poggiali, with a group show of artists from Barni to Zorio. Their exhibition continues at the Via Marconi venue in the former foundry. In the Via Garibaldi venue, Eduardo Secci introduces South African artist Chris Soul, while also curated by them in the Baptistery, one can admire the monumental works of Giò Pomodoro.
