Under government regulations, cinemas throughout Italy have been able to open to the public again since June 15 after being closed due to a health emergency. Umbria planned to use outdoor spaces to “provide more incentive for spectators to attend, working together and in tune,” according to Riccardo Bizzarri, regional president of Anec (National Association of Cinema Exhibitors).

In addition to the thirteen cities involved in the Super Cinema Summer project (Città di Castello, Umbertide, Bastia, Foligno, Spoleto, Todi, Marsciano, Castiglione del Lago, Trevi, Bevagna, Passignano sul Trasimeno, Paciano and Perugia), many other cinema initiatives will be planned throughout the region.
