Overall winner of the 2022 edition of the Creative Photo Awards, a competition dedicated to artistic and creative photography at the Siena Awards, an international visual arts festival, is the shot The False Illusion taken by Portuguese photographer Andre Boto. The image, which comes from Montijo, Portugal, aims to turn the spotlight onpollution. “Pollution is a real problem that affects us all, although it is often disguised or downplayed. Chosen from tens of thousands of images submitted by photographers from 128 countries, the photograph will be on display along with the winning photos from the 12 categories of the 2022 edition at the Siena Awards to be held in the Tuscan city from Oct. 1 to Nov. 20.
