The result of a collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, Service II - UNESCO Office of the General Secretariat and the Panini publishing house, the crossing will lead Mickey Mouse and his friends along the two routes of the Appian Way, the consular road linking Rome to Brindisi, which is a candidate for the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On August 29, after institutional greetings by Museum and Archaeological Park Director Fabio Galeandro and Fasano Mayor Francesco Zaccaria, the UNESCO candidacy will in fact be presented by Angela Maria Ferroni, coordinator of the project and of the Scientific Committee established by the Ministry for the candidacy. The initiative will conclude with a guided tour of the Museum and Archaeological Park by Museum staff.
