A month of street art in Bomporto: the first edition of Muriliberi kicks off

From Sept. 12 to Oct. 11, 2020, the first edition of Muriliberi will be held in Bomporto: a month of street art and open-air art.

Starting Saturday, Sept. 12, a month of street art and open-air art in Bomporto, in the province of Modena. In fact, the Muriliberi exhibition, an initiative of the Municipality of Bomporto under the coordination of Laura Solieri, will be inaugurated.

Until October 11, 2020, the walls of Bomporto, Solara and Sorbara will be dressed in art thanks to this review that includes three visual forms(photography, graphics and painting) and involves artists from all over Italy, creating an ideal artistic and tourist itinerary with their works. Three paths designed to attract and amaze fans and curious people from the province and beyond.

The theme chosen for this first edition of Muriliberi is the river, declined according to the free imagination of the authors, and each location has been associated with an artistic expression: painting for Bomporto, graphics for Solara and photography for Sorbara.

Underlying Muriliberi is the concept of freedom to experiment and invent, and the works will be created not on the walls usually reserved for posters, but on some chosen and reinvented for the occasion.

The initiative intends to involve everyone: the artists will exhibit in an entirely new “gallery,” an entire village, and the community will be able to see the places of the heart in a new and original guise; visitors will have the opportunity not only to appreciate the works on display, but also to learn more about the Bomportese territory.

On display will be the works of photographers Luigi Ottani, Tommaso Mori, Annalisa Vandelli, Enrico Maria Bertani and Diego Poluzzi, the creations of painters Ivano Biasetti, Erio Carnevali, Raffaele Cimino, Giulia Bonora and Michelangelo Barbieri, and graphic designers Giulia Rossi, Antonella Battilani, Atez, Elena La Regina and Richard Poidomani Motta.
