At the Ferrero Foundation a meeting on Alberto Burri's photo-portraits. Aurelio Amendola will be present

As part of the exhibition Burri. The Poetry of Matter dedicated to one of the great protagonists of the twentieth century, Alberto Burri (Città di Castello, 1915 - Nice, 1995), the Ferrero Foundation of Alba (Cuneo) in collaboration with the Fondazione Palazzo Albizzini Collezione Burri presents on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 6 p.m. ameeting open to the public entitled Venga pure a trovarmi, ma senza macchina fotografica. Photo-portraits by Alberto Burri at the Ferrero Foundation Auditorium. Appointment that is part of the cycle of dialogues around the artist’s work and poetics with scholars, artists, witnesses.

Speakers at the meeting will be Bruno Corà, president of the Fondazione Palazzo Albizzini Collezione Burri and curator of the exhibition Burri. The Poetry of Matter; Aurelio Amendola, art photographer who had established an intense working relationship and friendship with Burri since the 1970s. Denis Curti, photography critic and curator, will moderate the meeting.

It is intended to learn more about the artist through the work of the photographers who made his figure the subject of portraits. As Bruno Corà wrote: “Each of the authors with their photographs shows us a gesture, a place, a glance of Burri or, often, his latent perplexity, as of someone who, lending himself to some moment of relationship, nevertheless remains convinced that he is surplus to his own work, the only thing that in his opinion was really worth being immortalized.”

Admission to Dialogues around Burri is free, up to the maximum permitted capacity of 150 seats. A reinforced green pass is required to gain access; reservations must be made through the phone number 0173 294789.
