For 2025, Arte Fiera in Bologna introduces several new features

New things are in sight in Bologna for Arte Fiera, the longest-running of the Italian art fairs. After celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, Arte Fiera, for 2025 (the date will be February 7-9, 2025), is rethinking a part of itself, introducing a new section, hospitality programs for international curators and critics, and a renewed graphic identity. Let’s start with the new section: it is called Perspective, is by invitation only and is dedicated to emerging research artists, to strengthen the presence of innovative creativity. It will be curated by Michele D’Aurizio.

Then there will be another novelty, namely a special hospitality program for foreign museum directors and curators, which aims to promote Arte Fiera internationally, consolidating relationships with important figures in the art world. What’s more, Arte Fiera 2025 adopts a new visual identity, curated by LeftLoft studio. The traditional red circle becomes three-dimensional, rotating in space, and the color palette is enriched with bright and pop colors, emphasizing the desire to explore new artistic territories.

The governance of Arte Fiera will still see the collaboration of Simone Menegoi as Artistic Director and Enea Righi as Operations Director,. The fair will continue to take place in the historic pavilions 25 and 26, with a significant investment in communication and services for collectors. In addition, Arte Fiera maintains a collaborative relationship with ANGAMC, the National Association of Modern and Contemporary Art Galleries.

The sections will be Main Section (divided between historicized and contemporary art), Photography and Moving Images (dedicated to photography and curated by Gian Gavino Pazzola, for the third consecutive year), Pittura XXI (curated by Davide Ferri, focusing on painting of the latest generations), Multiples (curated by Alberto Salvadori, dedicated to works in edition) and the new Prospettiva. The theme of Arte Fiera 2025 will be “Community,” an itinerary linking selected stands from the Main Section and curated sections, exploring works that deal with the idea of community.
