In Bologna on the trail of the Griffoni Polyptych, waiting for the exhibition-event

In anticipation of the exhibition-event, Genus Bononiae offers a guided tour on the trail of the Griffoni Polyptych.

On Sunday, January 26, 2020, at 4 p.m., Genus Bononiae offers, in anticipation of the exhibition that will bring the sixteen original panels of the Griffoni Polyptych by Francesco del Cossa and Ercole de’ Roberti back to Bologna ’s Palazzo Fava after three hundred years, the guided tour On the Trails of the Polyptych.

Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the city’s streets and symbolic places: from Santa Maria della Vita, where the Lamentation over the Dead Christ by Niccolò dell’Arca is preserved, to the chapel of San Vincenzo Ferrer in the Basilica of San Petronio, the place for which the Griffoni Polyptych was made and where it remained until 1725. The tour will end at Palazzo Fava in the Piano Nobile rooms frescoed by Ludovico, Annibale and Agostino Carracci, which will host the exhibition.

The guided tour will last about 1h30 and will cost 15 euros.

Reservations required by writing to didattica@genusbononiae.it or calling 051 19936329 (Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
