Limited-edition works by Yayoi Kusama on display in Milan for one evening

Yayoi Kusama will be the protagonist of the Art Night scheduled for Thursday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Galleria Deodato Arte: exhibiting her limited edition works on paper.

The works of contemporary Japanese artist Yayoi K usama (Matsumoto, 1929) will be on display for one evening in Milan: in fact, Yayoi Kusama will be the protagonist of an Art Night scheduled for Thursday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. at Galleria Deodato Arte. The evening event open to collectors and enthusiasts of the queen of polka dots, with whom the artist filled the living rooms and streets of New York from 1958 to 1973, is intended as a tribute to the one who, at a very young age, left Japan to devote herself to the New York creative life and who over the years courageously gave substance to her inner landscape, expressing her psychological and emotional dilemmas.

Visitors to Galleria Deodato Arte (at Via Nerino,1) will be able to admire five limited-edition works on paper signed in original by Kusama, set within a unique, almost fairy-tale context, strongly characterized by the sculptures of the iconic colored polka-dotted pumpkins, part of the artist’s official merchandising.

The Gallery brings to Milan some of the works that have made the history of this world-renowned artist and that tell the inner world of a revolutionary Kusama, in all her fascinating, mysterious and complex personality.
