On August 31, the Royal Palace of Caserta will offer a unique experience with the Dawn at the Palace event. It will in fact open its doors exceptionally from 5 a.m. for visitors to experience the magic of the Royal Park and the English Garden at dawn. This initiative, revived after last year’s success, invites the public to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature in the early hours of the day, away from the noise and daily stress.
The event will be enhanced by artistic performances by the Sonora Project. At 7 a.m., in the Old Woods, the Sonora Wind Trio (composed of Antonio Puzone on clarinet, Simona Amazio on horn and Alfonso Valletta on bassoon), together with the narrator Massimiliano Foà, will perform a musical tale about the origins of the Royal Park, with compositions by Bernhard Henrique Crusell. At 8 a.m., in the English Garden, music by Florian Leopold Gassmann will accompany a narrative on the origins of this oasis of peace and biodiversity.
The Museum’s cafeteria will open at 5:30 a.m., offering visitors the chance to enjoy breakfast with coffee and cake for only 2 euros until 9 a.m. The terrace near the Fountain of Diana and Actaeon will be accessible from 6:30 a.m. The Royal Apartments, on the other hand, will be open from 8:30 a.m.
Visitors can purchase the “Sunrise at the Royal Palace of Caserta” ticket on TicketOne or at the venue. It is possible to choose the “Park Only” ticket at a cost of 9 euros, or the “Whole Park + Apartments” ticket at 18 euros (access to the Royal Apartments will not be possible before 8:30 a.m.). Reductions and gratuities as per law. Breakfast is not included in the cost of the ticket. Tickets are already on sale from today, August 12. ReggiaCard 2024 subscribers get in free.
Please note that until 8:30 a.m., only the entrance in Piazza Carlo di Borbone will be open (the one on Corso Giannone will be closed), and bicycles will not be allowed in until that time. The shuttle, golf car and bike rental services will not be active. In the silence of the early hours of the day, until 8:30 a.m., the Royal Park will be passable only on foot.
